About Websites

  • How long does it take to build a website?

    To build a good website takes a bit of time as well as a good collaboration. We like to keep projects moving along, but we also rely on our clients to provide us with information, approvals and content at various stages before we can move on to the next step. It also depends on how much we need to fine tune the concepts and the webdesign, but once these stages are completed, then the development of the website (the actual programming) doesn't usually take too long. But you can be sure that we will keep you updated throughout the process.

  • How much does a new website cost?

    The cost of a website completely depends on what you want. Because we don't do off the rack websites at Bouncing Orange, we need to determine what your needs are so that we can prepare a quote for you. If you're interested in good design, great functionality and a website that enables you to do almost all the editing yourself, please give us a call to chat about your needs.

  • What do I need to supply to you?

    Once you've decided to work with us, we'll ask you to meet up with one of our project managers who will take a design brief from you to determine the design directions of your website. We will then produce some concepts for you to look at and then we go through the fine tuning process until we end up with a design that is right for you. What we need from you is an idea about what you want from your website - (though we can help you with that) - and you'll need to supply us with all the content that you would like on your website. But of course, we'll talk through all of this with you and give you a helping hand.

  • How do I go about getting a new website?

    A good place to start is to give us a call. Whether you have an existing website and you need a fresh new design or you are a business starting from scratch, we'll chat to you about what your needs might be.   • What do you mean by eCommerce?

    In a nutshell, eCommerce means buying and selling products in an online environment.

    We have a range of eCommerce options available that can be built with your new website or integrated into your existing website. These range from a simple online form enabling customers to make a simple purchase through the bank's payment system, right up to a complete shoppping cart system, which enables users to choose their purchases and complete their payment all within your own website.

    It all depends on what's right for you and your customers. 

About Hosting & Domains

  • I already have a website. Can I keep the same web address if I get a new website?

    Yes, this is usually not a problem. Your current web address or domain name is already being hosted by someone and when we undertake the new website for you, we simply ask you to send us the registration key for your domain so that we can set up the new hosting under the same domain name.

  • Do I have to get my new website and domain hosted with you?

    The simple answer is no. However, we have been partnering with Hostaway for years now and we continue to do so because we find their service, professionalism and willingness to help to be of the highest quality.

    In our experience, we've found it a really good idea to have your domain and your website hosted by the same company. In the unlikely event that something does goes wrong, tracking down the problem and getting it fixed is often much quicker with a single number to call. And when you host everything with us, we handle all the renewals for you, so that you don't have to worry about it.

  • I don't have a domain name yet. Can you help?

    That's not a problem. Once you've picked your desired domain you'll need to register it before you can use it for your email or web hosting. You may need to supply some personal or business information when you register certain domains, but we can guide you through the process or organise it for you through our hosting company. You'll also need to have your domain hosted somewhere so that users will be able to access your website by typing in your domain. We recommend having your domain hosted with your website as it will not only save you money, but make things easier in the long run.
